After Glow - An Epitath
I love this poem. I have set it aside in a memory box of mine to consider as a possible poem for my eulogy when I plan my funeral. I know, that sounds a bit morbid, but how else will you be sure that your loved ones are taken care of and have an easy time planning your service? By giving them an understanding of what would make you happy, you are actually helping them a great deal - you relieve a lot of their stress allowing them to simply mourn and celebrate your life.
After Glow
I’d like the memory of me
to be a happy one.
I’d like to leave an after glow
of smiles when life is done,
I’d like to leave an echo
whispering softly down the ways,
Of happy times and laughing
times and bright and
summer days.
I’d like the tears of those who
grieve, to dry before the sun,
Of happy memories that I leave
When life is done.
